Since installing some updates my Shutdown screen has now introduced "Install updates and shutdown" - and made it the default. This is not what I want; I'd like the default to be Standby. What can I do to achieve this?

Selecting Shutdown from Start brings up a drop-sown menu of options. Hitherto the default option has been Standby (which suits me) but, after downloading some Security updates from Microsoft another line in the menu has been created "Install updates and Shut Down" and it is to this line that the default pointer rests. Whereas before I could simply click without looking and get Standby, I now have to refrain from that automatic action and move to the Standby line in the menu. That's what I mean about "default"; the menu line selected when I initiate Shtdown.

If anyone is interested in a solution to my problem it might be worth saying that the preferred option "Standby" was not a default as I stated. What I should have said is that starting Shutdown brings up the drop down list and the highlighted item is the one last used. I'd like to return to that state if possible - although I've no object to Standby being the highlighted default. I simply want to rid my system of the Microsoft update default which I didn't request!

If anyone can help me I'll be obliged.
