The key features I want in this build is 6 monitor display and for it to be a relatively easy system to upgrade in the future when I want to. I'm looking to use 6 monitors as 6 separate displays. I do not want to game across all 6 of them, while I may decide to game on one, I will want to do stuff on another. Even with bezel compensation I would still find eyefinity crap annoying.

This is what I've picked out so far:

I've picked a PSU that should support the power requirements of a 6 monitors system I believe. I'm not sure whether my parts will fit well in the case I chose. I'm not even sure if it's the case I want. I do like it though. I'm sick and tired of black towers honestly. I want to mix it up.

I'm basically here to ask people to double check. Make sure I'm on the right track for what I want. Any help would be appreciated.

I need to make sure everything is gonna fit together well still.

Asus STRIKER-GTX760-P-4GD5 supports 3 monitors? I should be able to use two to support my 6 monitors correct?

The AMD cards are better at higher resolutions and more displays thats why I went with the 290 Crossfire

Well, I changed the case to the storm trooper red/black version. I don't remember if I changed anything else from that list. I think otherwise it's the same. I ordered all the parts =) All of it's already shipped.

Happy Gaming ;)

Return that CPU and motherboard - there's no reason to pay $3K for a system only to get hardware from two years ago.

What? That CPU is a Haswell refresh which was just released in June, and the motherboard was released in May, both of this year.

The original build had a i7-3770K and a Z77 motherboard, that's what I was referring to. Never mind.

Yes, I got the Asus Maximus Hero VII and i7-4790k cpu. I've successfully built my system. I got pretty much everything setup. I would just like to say a few things. If anyone is ever getting 6 fairly decent sized monitors be aware that the default cables will be too short. Not only that, you'll probably want some extra length for the cords to follow the paths you want to keep things tidy. (Along poles, down pole, back across to tower or w/e your setup might be). Oh and there are a ton of power cords. I don't know if it'd happen, but I got thinking sucking this much power through one socket could blow a breaker maybe?

I will be taking pictures and maybe make a video about the products I got. In particular the hex-monitor stand I got isn't really satisfactory and I can show easily why. I'll be able to fix the issue, but others might have a hard time. I will need to drill new holes for different height adjustments into the pole basically.

I'll be looking forward to seeing that :D
