I have 2 x 4GB of Corsair (CML4GX3M1A1699C9).
I entered the BIOS and set the profile to XMP. Which resulted in the following screen in the bios:
On restarting the BIOS displayed the ram speed as 1600 Mhz on the bootup screen and when I checked the SPD information in the BIOS this seemed to agree.
So far so good!
But CPU-Z does not agree and in fact only displayed the RAM size.
And nothing on the SPD tab:
NB. The screenshots taken from CPU-Z were the same before and after attempting to increase the RAM speed which raised my concerns so any advice on that front would be appreciated.
I have checked with both sticks of ram and with a pair of 8GB Corsair (CML16GX3M2A1600C10) and witnessed the same behaviour.
So to double check I also ran AIDA64:
I updated the BIOS from v3.2 to v3.27 (not quite the latest just to see if this could be the problem) but same result. I also have v4.08 so could try that as well. But surely a simple overclocking such as this should work in the earlier versions of the BIOS?
Please help!
