CPU runs hot with corsair H100i

System is core i7 4790k/mobo is GA z97X SLI/PS 750W.
My CPU is idle at 31 deg C but when I do prime 95 test it goes to 100 deg C within 10 secds . It is mounted ok and fans and circulation work. Would updating mobo BIOS do anything ? Any ideas out there ?

Is it mounted correctly? If you used the wrong screws, it might not be on tight enough. It may look like it's seated well, but in reality it's not. Haswells have temperature jumps, but 100c is too much in 10 seconds.
