Help with my TV

I have an LG 32LD450 and it turns on fine but then after 5/7 seconds it turns off. Before it turns off (like 1 second before) it makes a kind of popping/button sound. The light then keeps flashing red and does this till it turns off. The screen is also really dim but that may be the power saving mode.

So what is my problem. I have moderate soldiering skills so I can try to fix it myself. Thanks for your help.

I have also checked the capacitors and none seem blown

You probably should return it. You may be good but its not worth the risk of a huge electrical shock. something is wrong with the tv and the leds or something powering the screen is malfunctioning or dying.

Having solder skils is quite not enough to solve problems with such a complicated device like a LED TV. Such malfunctions need qualified service attention, there aren't customer serviceable parts inside in most cases. The problem may be inside the PSU board, but also some of the other boards may cause overload by some failure and the current protection of the PSU stops it.

I think that only a TV expert can say where the problem is and that if it's in his workshop, not online.

Surely I can buy a new power board or something? I don't want professional repair services. They are stupidly expensive and usually the problem is easy to fix and cheaper if I do it myself.

just not worth the risk search around for people who could do it cheap or look for deals.
