No video on boot and power button doesn't shut down.

Hey guys, basically I bought a zalman z11 plus hf1 and transferred my parts to that case which has 5 fans and once I booted the system up I had no video signal and I could not power off the system through the power switch only through the psu switch at the back. Also the hdd led and reset button don't work or respond. Is the issue a defective psu?
Ps its an apu build and the psu is a generic 500w psu.

I have no discrete gpu and all the front panel connectors are plugged in perfect also the USB in the from charges my phone.
Ps I'm using a CPU extension cable 8 pin to 8 pin but I'm using a 4 pin cable could I be plugging it in incorrect.

no 8 pin cpu connectors are for more power consuming cpu but you should be fine using the 4 pin .....so test your pc with a different psu if you still have the problem then i think the motherboard has something to do with that plus also remove every usb connections while booting and see it makes any difference or not...
