HDD LEDs Working with Multiple HDDs

I have been very frustrated for 15 yrs regarding what I see as the lack of being able to connect MULTIPLE HDDs to a computer and HAVE THE HD LEDs working and flashing with use telling you they are working. These manufacturers always used to include a PCI card in with a new HDD so you could run it at a higher speed and have a HDD LED output on the card BUT NEVER INCLUDE a simple cheap "Y" type splitter in case you were using it as Storage etc. These SATA Hot Swap Trayless mobile racks I have installed like the Startech #HSB100SATBK have a HDD activity LED and a HDD LED wire you are expected to connect to the MB..BUT I would have to disconnect my main Case LED light for the boot drive!

Why has NO ONE, (should be included with any Mobile Rack or card!),thought to manufacture simple multiple HDD LED splitter cables so that if you have two or 5 HDDs you can had the HDD LEDs flashing and not have to cut and solder your case wire? Try to find a HDD LED "Y" splitter ...you know darn well these HDD never are being shown up when in use all these years... weird gap or am I missing something?

I would guess it's because there's not enough consumer interest to generate any significant margin, or even offset the extra manufacturing cost.

I run 3 to 5 drives at any particular time and personally wouldn't care to have that many flashing LEDs. In fact, one is too many for me - my activity light is disconnected. I don't think I'm unique in that fashion.
