Being prevented in XP Pro to relink tables due to access not being granted to me as Administrator

Having used MS Access since its creation (on floppies) I am still using XP Pro (why would I want to upgrade when many of the lower lever dialogues still go back to those introduced in Windows NT!). Being set up as an administrator (and the only user of my machine), I have never before struck the problem where XP tells me (on trying to relink tables after creating a copy of a pair of MDB - one for code, one for data) that I do not have permission to access the folder.

Fair enough; however, my memory, and all inputs I read, tell me to open the Properties dialogue for the folder, select the Securities tab and take it from there.

The issue, you ask? Well, my properties dialogue has these tabs: General / Sharing / Web Sharing / Customize - and, since I use Acronis, Acronis Recovery. No Security tab.

Never having had to solve this problem I am stuck. How do I grant myself (Administrator) permission so that I can relink the tables for the copy?

Opening Computer Manager, I seem unable to find any further pointers to how to address this problem.
