Hey guys. I have a custom built and the other day it just suddenly stopped sleeping properly. It just clicks off (no blinking light like usual) and starts up back with an error message which comes off quickly and then the system restarts. I'm using Windows 8.1 with an ATI R7 GPU. I've tried everything; even a clean install of windows and no luck in trying to fix it. The system is fairly new so I don't think it should be an hardware issue already. It's so frustrating.

Could be a power issue. First check to make sure your power options are set properly. They are in the control panel under power options.

Also, what specific GPU and what power supply do you have? If your comp is drawing too much power it might shut off.

I don't know the power supply because it was a pre-built unit and I can't pull it while on warranty...They did say the GPU is fine for the PSU. Its an XFX R7 250 low profile
