Hello,

Yes, all USB ports stop working randomly and the only fix is rebooting the PC. For example, the keyboard stops working and the USB wireless adaptor stops working too, and obviously in that momento I lose Internet and all USB peripheral devices connected.

The USB ports seem to be off, but not dead at all since they keep sending energy (the light is still on, but the devices are not responding).

I have checked everything, latest USB drivers from my motherboard, latest BIOS, latest Windows updates, unchecked the box "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" in bus at device manager for every single device, I disabled the USB selective suspend, so... Don't know what's going on, I'm going crazy.

My PC specs:

ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0
AMD FX-8350
Corsair Vengeance 8GB (1x8GB) 1600 MHz
Corsair Cooler H100i
WD Blue 1 TB WD10EZEX
An old 500GB Samsung HDD as slave
Sapphire Radeon R9 270 2GB Dual-X
Corsair PSU AX 760W
Windows 8.1 64

Please, can you help me? Thanks.

I have a similar problem with my build right now and hopefully someone can help us. All the USB ports(front&back) won't work until a restart. I've updated everything as well BIOS, chipset, and also did a fresh reboot and still nothing.

I was able to use a PS/2 mouse and checked the device manager and under the USB controller, the 'Intel (R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host controller - 0100 (Microsoft)'has stopped. Went to Properties and it has a code error 43. I uninstalled it and scanned for new hardware and this one showed 'USB xHCI Compliant Host Controller' it says Operation failed, Code error 10. Hopefully somebody knows what to do here.

PC specs:

MSI Z97-G45 Gaming
i7-4790K
CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB)
Microsoft Windows 8.1 64-bit - OEM
Kingston SSD 120gb
WD Green WD10EZRX 1TB
EVGA GTX 780
CORSAIR Hydro Series H105
CORSAIR CX series CX750

Well, since I disabled "Legacy USB Support" in BIOS the problem is gone, at least one week without seeing the problem. So, maybe that's the solution.

Can some tell me why Legacy USB Support cause conflicts? Thanks
