Greetings all,

I have ask the community on this since I'm not familiar with Tiger OSX or how phishing schemes affect Macs differently than PCs.

One of my relatives clicked on a phishing email :flu: and is currently using Tiger OSX. I know Tiger is unsupported, and I was going to help him upgrade in the next couple of weeks. Luckily I made a backup of his system before he clicked anything.

Now, I had him install ClamXAV and he's running a scan as we speak, in addition to changing all of his passwords to everything. I know SOP for a PC is a virus/anti-spyware scan. Outside of a virus scan on the Mac and changing passwords, is there anything else I should instruct him to do?

Also, assuming nothing is found, and say I back up his machine to use with another HDD (for upgrade). Will I have compromised that drive as well?

Thanks!
