that would be amusing for amd to release a gpu that can't play on their own "performance" platform... seeing as AM3+ still is pci-e 2.0...
occassionally there are some issues with pcie2.0/3.0 cards going back to pcie1.0/1.1... but that's mostly caused by the manufacturer refusing to update their bios for new tech. Generally speaking ANYTHING on pcie is compatible...
