I have a gtx 295 that's supposed to be two cards in one I think? Both being 896 mb of vram

Does that mean I'd have to run two monitors to utilize both cards? Or when I'm just playing one monitor it'll use both cards vram? Also any other info you think I might need to know about this card would be appreciated!!

It just means you have two GPU`s on one card.
In what we call SLI mode.
Its more powerful than a single gtx 290 card.

Its done to save slot space.
Where as to get equal to a 295 card you would have to use two separate Gtx 290 cards.
With an Sli bridge cable. 295 = 2 290 cards running at the same time.

I couldn't find a gtx 290 anywhere and I haven't heard of it before. I read somewhere that it's two gtx 275 cards. Also thought someone on this forum said something about it being two gtx 260's at a combined 1792 mb vram.

I'm just curious if there's a way to get the combined vram to work in one monitor? Or am I only ever going to get slightly less than 1gb memory for playing skyrim?
