ASUS Maximus VII Hero + i7-4790k

A couple of reviews from Newegg.com state that this motherboard doesn't work with the 4790k out of the box/BIOS update required. True or false?

This is exceptional one of the best combo of a CPU and motherboard currently. So whoever said that must be saying its bad so others don't get it.

False, the hero is a z97 board and the 4790k is a z97 chip, they should work straight out the box
