Today after I installed a driver update to my Razor mouse and it asked me to restart my computer. After the windows loading screen I got the BSOD and it quickly disappeared, followed by my computer restarting again to once again get to the BSOD. I managed to take a picture of it to read what is said before the restart, here it is:

"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage
to your computer.

win32k.sys

PAGE_FAULT+IN_NONPAGED_AREA

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen,
restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow
these steps:

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed.
If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer
for any windows updates you might need.

If problem continues, disable or remove any newly installed hardware
or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.
If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart
your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then
select Safe Mode.

Technical Information:

*** STOP: 0x00000050 (0xFFFFF901C06668CC, 0x0000000000000000, 0xFFFFF960000ECCA3, 0x0000000000000005)

Then it flashes something below that and restarts. I've tried multiple things, such as cleaning out/dusting my computer and trying to start it in Safe Mode with all the different options. no matter which Safe Mode Option I start with, I once again get the BSOD execpt it's a little different. it reads:

"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage

I don't know what else to do, all the videos I find tell me that it should load like normal when I select Safe Mode and that there is a hotfix I should download, but I just keep getting stuck in a endless BSOD restart loop.

Here is a link to the picture I took:

If any additional information is needed I will be more then willing to provide it, given my knowledge of my computer. Please help me out on this, i would really rather not have to do a system format, as I have not backed up my information in a while. Thank you for any quick answers.

***Update 1: After going through some different forums and trying things out I came across someone who was having a similar issue and was told to go to the system repair option after pressing F8. From there he was instructed to open a command prompt and follow a set of directions that ended in the the person learning his hard drive failed. However when I opened up the notepad and went to Open -> My Computer, it was able to read both my SSD D: Drive (has the OS) and my Hard drive E: Drive (where I store everything else). So I don't think my issue is a failing hard drive, but if this information helps determine the issue then that would be great.

Solution
Well I got impatient and just reformatted my drive with my OS and it fixed the issue. It's a relief to know it was not a hardware issue and that some software just made a big screw up. Thank you to those who tried to help me. I managed to learn a few things I didn't know I could do with my computer and i feel it will help me out with future issues.
Hit F8 at PC startup.

Now try the last known configuration, which will do a roll back.

If that doesn't work, F8 and go in to safe mode, if it gets there I suspect a new driver for the mouse has goosed it.

You can try and do another install of the software or remove it all together.

Unfortunately that did not fix it, I also tried running a system repair through the original Windows 7 disk which did not change anything. I then tried doing a system restore to 2 days ago and it did change something, the BSOD now disappears almost instantly, I managed to shoot a video of it and slow it down so I could see what changed. Everything is the same except now it says this at the end of the BSOD

"Collecting data for crash dump ...
Initiating crash dump ...
Dump file size is too small - requires at least 436165588 bytes.
Future kernel memory dumps may require larger size.
Switching to minidump ..."

And then something flashes immediately after that is too fast for me to see it or get it on video (using my phone, so not the best recording).

Unfortunately that did not help as well, choosing to go into Safe Mode or going to last known configuration results in the same BSOD to restart. I'm beginning to think I may just have to do a system format, but again, I would prefer that be the last resort option.

Some software attempt to modify win32k.sys. Windows 8.x will assume this is a hacking attempt and will shutdown your system.
malware, pirate versions of windows, older device drivers for older versions of windows might do this.

just make sure your razor software is from razor and is for windows 8. Don't get it from a random website that makes a wrapper around the razor setup program. You end up giving permission for the setup program that installs malware and the driver you wanted to install.

if in doubt, run malwarebytes scan to make sure your system is clean.
PS. I picked up a driver a month ago, when I googled for it and picked the first one. Turns out it was a sponsered ad with malware in it not the real website i really wanted. (hey, it was first on the list and I was in a rush)
