I just got an Asus Maximus VI Hero motherboard and after I hooked everything up and power on my computer it will reach the Windows 7 boot screen then BSOD 3 seconds later.
The BSOD screen does not stay up long enough for me to see the error but my motherboard shows the error code 99.
I tried unplugging all my usb peripherals and nothing happened.
I also reformatted the drive and reinstalled windows.
I even flashed the bios to the latest version but the problem persists.
Not sure if I got a faulty board.
Is there a way I can make it so the BSOD stays up so I can take a picture with my phone?
Edit: I just recorded some footage with my phone and went frame by frame to catch part of the error.
The part I saw was "stop 0x0000007B"
When looking up the error most people say it is device driver related mostly with the hard drive.
Not sure how to fix this....
