Nvidia dedicated GPU auto-select depending on if PC is plugged in option?

Hi. I need to know if an option is available to make is so if my laptop is plugged in it auto-prefers my 870M, and when I am not plugged in it just auto-selects. Is there an option for this?

On some laptops it is required that you plug in the mains adapter to play a game depending on the hybrid graphics solution.
The reason why is because when the Gpu is running it can draw power from the mains and the battery at the same time.
In normal mode where it falls back to a Intel based cpu/gpu it will run on just the battery if required.

The power settings should sort it out if you turn stuff to high.
There will be two profiles based on what chip is used Nvidia or Intel Gpu ect.

That's where I am at in win 8.1 I see options for intel graphics but no nvidia
