hi, I am trying to use a Dell powervault 110T LTO-3 tape to back up data from a laptop Dell M90 - I have on the tape: lvd/scsi port
and
on the laptop: usb, firewire and an empty card slot
- what are my options?

Why use it? Get a 1 tb external usb3.0 drive instead.

With that old tape drive, you are really limited. In fact, there likely isn't an adapter to convert any of the laptop's ports to a LVD Ultra320.

It's always a bad idea to try to re-use old equipment for data backups. As i7Baby said, why not just use an external drive, like a external hard drive or even a large flash drive?

There used to be a USB to SCSI LVD adapter made by Ratoc. Quick search shows it to be end of sale. You probably can find one on E-Bay. BUT a firewire external drive will be much more faster, more reliable and more integrated into your O/S.
