Hi, After upgrading to Windows 8.1 my download speeds are maxing out around 4mbps.
I have a 120mbps connection and all other machines on my network are achieving around 70mbps.
I have reinstalled the correct wifi and lan drivers several times which solves the problem but only until a system restart or a switch between wifi and wired lan, at which point speeds return to 4mbps.
I have trawled through countless forums on microsoft and lenovo websites.
There doesnt seem to be any consensus as to the whether this a Broadcom, Realtek or Windows problem.
Please help, I am very frustrated with this situation.
Lenovo Thinkpad E545
Broadcom wifi adpter
Realtek pcie gbe network adapter

Hi, mate!

Have you tried to reinstall the drivers after turned off Windows Update? Microsoft offers driver updates for Lenovo products but most of the driver updates they have doesn't work on all Lenovo settings. All depend on its configuration. Also, check the manufacturer WiFi device for updated drivers in case you need the latest driver.

Good luck!
