Just built a PC and I connected my monitor with hdmi to the port on my graphics card. Everything is working fine but whenever I watch a video on YouTube or change a game to full screen instead of windowed full screen the scene selection changes and the screen gets pixilated. Should I plug in the hdmi to the motherboard instead of graphics card ?

The HDMI port on the motherboard will attempt to use the integrated graphics on your processor, not the graphics card.

I'm not sure I understand what "scene selection" means. Is it a feature of your monitor or of the video card? Where do you set or adjust it?

Have you checked in the video card settings (driver) that you are running at the correct resolution?

WHat monitor (make/model) are you using?

.. I have checked my resolution and its good 1920x1080
.. All my drivers are up to date
.. I have tried changing the hdmi from graphics card to motherboard, it just changes the adapter type to my intergrated graphics and then when i play a game it uses my intergrated graphics not the graphics card .. have to change the hdmi back to my graphics card for it to use it ..
.. My monitor is Sony KDL-24EX320
..
