ok for once & for all ,

for those who question their quality , what are you guys based on?

I currently have a 700W Gaming Edition ( 80+ bronze certicified)
from Xilence and i'm more then Satisfied !

The max . wattage i can get is a self measured 595W on the 4 12v rails

The temp stays very cool cause of the special aligned 120mm red cool fann( and its sooooo quit , the noise from my hard drive and the fan from my CPU are the only things i hear)

Reviews from different kind of deutch game brands says the same , i know its a well like unusual and not a well populair brand , but my last one was a ATX and this one isnt the same , but give it a chance ,

Regards ,

Michael

Xilence is a German brand. It was bough by be quiet! few years ago. After be quiet! bought it, their quality increased (not dramatically, but it was a notable improvement). I used to have a 600W Xilence Red Wing. But after few years, and specifically when I changed to a 650TI I started getting coil whine, though I suspect dried up capacitors. A Xilence PSU is in the same category as a Corsair CX, but you pay less, it produces less noise, but is a less efficient.

As far as Xilence goes - I always prefer to shell out 10/15 bucks more and get a be quiet! unit. Xilence and be quiet! are super competitive in Europe. Their pricing is right. But I will always prefer be quiet!.

P.S Forgot to mention - Xilence has the tendency of using...
How did you measure the current? Did you check ripple or voltage sag? What happened when you tried to load it up more?

ATX is a standard, not a model. That PSU will be marketed as ATX-compliant or compatible (though it's quite possible it's not actually compliant; ripple and regulation will show that. Compatible is bad).

I would run a mile.

P.S Forgot to mention - Xilence has the tendency of using Chinese caps all over even in their 150+ EUR Platinium models. be quiet! however, at least goes for higher quality caps.
