As the title says: i'm looking into buying a monitor which is going to be replacing my old BenQ monitor for movie watching and gaming. I will try to be as specific as i can to what i want:

I want a monitor that is 1920 x 1080, or 1440p with 120/144Hz. Refresh rate doesn't matter that much. Preferably one of the two.
Connection method can be DVI or HDMI (the only two my GTX 780Ti support).
I'm only buying one monitor to be my primary as i can use the current as a secondary one.

i prefer Asus, any "known" brand will do. TN or IPS monitor, doesn't really matter as long as it's not a PVA monitor.

Last request: I want the cheapest possible, but still good quality.

Thank you very much in advance!

For IPS screens I will recommend a 21:9 monitor, or 2560 x 1440 monitor. Stay away from 1920 x 1080p monitors that are advertised as an "IPS" monitors. They all use cheap IPS screens either marketed as e-IPS or AH-IPS which both use 6-bitFRC color depth (same as conventional TN displays). All 21:9 and 1440p monitors use LG 8bit color depth panels which will be worth it for you since you watch a lot of movies. Here are a couple options I'll leave you with that will be great for gaming and viewing films.

Option #1- http://www.amazon.com/AOC-29-inch-IPS-Q2963PM-21/dp/B00BLZAYHC/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1408325806&sr=1-3&keywords=21+9+ultrawide+monitor

Option #2-...

It might help if you could suggest which sites that you find trustworthy and in which country you live.

I live in Norway so i would guess most won't understand a thing of what is written. I use a site which compares current prices from various sites to check if the cost and availability: prisguide.no All/most sites there are sites which i know are trusty.

So, i've been looking at monitors and specs and such. I think i may go for a 60Hz ISP monitor with 5ms response time. I've heard the colors are beautiful on isp monitors. It's the Acer H236HLbmid. What do you think?

It seems like a decent monitor, but I haven't found any reviews. The VX239H is very similar and I've seen a couple of reviews saying it's good: http://www.techporn.ph/asus-vx239h-23-inch-frameless-ah-ips-monitor-review/

The only brand I haven't seen much talk about among gamers and on hardware site today are Acers, so I would be careful to buy one as it is less benchmarks and reviews to make an informed decision on how good they will be for the intended use one will have.

AOC Q2770PQU: http://www.prisguide.no/produkt/aoc-q2770pqu-201845
In your first post you say that you own two GX780TI. In that case sound that you would have the money to go for AOC q2770pqu som er en 2560 x 1440 IPS. Den ligger på 3190 NOK. Digital Versus have given this monitor rather high rating.

AOC Q2963PM: http://www.prisguide.no/produkt/aoc-q2963pm-172841
I have recently bought myself an AOC q2963pm which is a 29 inches 21:9 aspect ratio instead of 16:9 (works great without black border for media from 4:3 to 16:9 on top and bottom) and in hight it will be more like an 24 inch display. Resolution are 2560 x 1080 pixel, so it will not demand that much from your video cards to run games.
This monitor have been reviewed on several sites and on Tom's Hardware, so you would find that it is considered ok for gaming.

The good thing with IPS panels is capable of wider viewing angles and better colour then TN panels, but there are also some caveats like the possibility of IPS glow from back light and less reproduction of black (VA panels strong suite) which also effects how other colours look. My suggestion for you would be to go for a larger display then 24 inches today and a resolution like 2560 x 1080 or 1440 (even with GTX 780ti SLI you will have a harder time run higher resolution with everything high in games), if you have the space for it as it will make you feel more of immersion in watching a video or playing a game.

Here is it again one demo version, meaning it could not be sold as new due to our return policy within of 14 days, for 2335 SEK (Swedish kroner). As you live in Norway it might be cheaper for you to buy it from Komplett.se on their Swedish site. You will not find offer like these listed on Prisjakt.nu/Prisguiden.no.

I bought myself one of these demo ex. and everything seem to be brand new except the box it came with. Transportation are free of charge within Sweden and I couldn't find out anything about other countries like sending it to Norway.

https://www.komplett.se/aoc-29-led-q2963pm-demo/819531

Don't wait too long to place an order as these today cost around 4000 kr from have been as low as 2290 kr.

Good luck!
