hi gurus.

CPU: FX 8350
MB: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3
COOLING: Noctua NH-D14
GPU: r9 280x

question is:
Cougar solution has a 8 fans slots. would it be an overkill if i fill all those slot of a fan? or it would benefit the cooling so i can overclock for long hours?

You can fill them. Your system OC'd would like them. Just make sure to use good quiet fans, as 8 of them will get loud.

You will probably have to play around with fan placement to find the best config for your case, room temp and case placement.

If you live in a warm area and your room is warm, you might want more exhaust fans so you're not bringing more warm air in. If you room is cool, then more intake fans will bring cooler air in. It's trial and error. There is no set "set 4 fans like this, 4 fans like that".

ive read about fan controllers. would this help me or i just use softwares to adjust my fan?

also. would a led fan consume lot more power? example. my system estimated wattage is 500w. and i have a 550w psu. do i need to go to a higher psu like 600w if i use 4 led fans and and 4 no led?

LED fans use a very small amount of power, Most LED's only use 1-2 watts per fan lights. So, no you do not need upgrade your PSU.
