So I started out with a HP Pavilion a6112n, because I wanted to get away from using gaming laptops and a buddy of my friend gave it to me. I figured it would be a cool project to upgrade this part by part. So far I have upgraded the power supply and bought an evga gtx 750 ti. I know the card is good, but I think my cpu is bottlenecking it? I hope I'm saying that right.. Anyways, I asked a friend about it and he linked me to this: compatible cpus with my motherboard. Each one I look at is either way too expensive, or I just don't know if it will be good enough for gaming. If I 100% must buy a 200 dollar cpu I will, but I'm trying to avoid that. What do you guys think?
Thanks,
Kyle

I would say Athlon 64 X2 6500+ for gaming. The worst case senario, you would have to upgrade. I have never used these cpus but I would say the one mentioned before or Phenom X4 9950. :)
