Hi,

I've read somewhere that UEFI systems need UEFI-compatible graphics cards to output the UEFI configuration screens, and sometimes even Windows. I can't find anywhere whether the card (this one in particular: VTX3D 2GB Radeon R9 270X V2 Dual Fan X-Edition)is UEFI compatible. Does anyone know? And if not, could you point me one that is, with similar spec. and price.

Thanks in advance,
Harry

http://www.adventcomputers.co.uk/product-support/faq-windows-8-uefi-and-graphics-cards-updated says:
Question: What if I purchase a non-supported graphics card?

Answer: If you buy a non-UEFI-compatible graphics card and fit it to a PC with Windows 8 preloaded, there’s a likelihood that it won’t work. Some graphics cards may work but they will not be able to display anything until Windows has launched. So if a problem arises that requires a tweak in the UEFI/BIOS you will be unable to do this, as the graphics card will be unable to display UEFI/BIOS pages.
