Which monitor should I get? (Could use help/knowledge)

I would try to stray away from the gray market Korean 1440p monitors. I know they are a lot cheaper than mainstream brands, but the quality on them is very poor.

I've watched my friend buy one and the day it came in the mail she called me over to come see. As soon as we took it out of the packaging, the bezel was already starting to come loose somehow, as if it had been poorly glued on or not screwed in tightly enough. When we plugged it in and powered it up everything seemed fine other than 3 stuck pixels in the corner. We managed to get one of them out but the other 2 stayed to no avail. I felt bad for her seeing that wave of disappointment go over her face as soon as she saw the monitor. This is the monitor that she bought if...

I can recommend this monitor having seen it in person at Staples one day and being thoroughly impressed by it. It was a very bright display and text on it looked razor sharp, almost up to par with the displays used iMacs. (which can also be attributed to them using glass instead of plastic for the cover) I'm considering purchasing it myself actually. It might not be a 1440p monitor but who cares if the panel is good.
