Hello!
I'm trying to build a "budget" computer, mainly for gaming. The one I have now is a simple laptop I have for almost 5 years (Toshiba L500-13w) and I can no longer play anything in it. So I decided to look for the best option for a new computer, and building it seems the best answer. Beware this is my first time building a PC.

After a lot of research I have made this configuration:
Case: ZALMAN T4
PSU: XFX TS SERIES 550W 80PLUS BRONZE
Motherboard: ASUS M5A78L-M LX3
CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5 GHZ VISHERA 6-COREBLACK EDITION SKT AM3+ 95W BOXED
Memory: CORSAIR PC3-12800 1600MHZ 8GB VENGEANCE CL9 (2X4GB) DDR3
Hard Drive: WD CAVIAR BLUE 1TB 7200RPM 64MB SATA III 3.5
Graphics Card: ASUS GEFORCE GTX750 TI 2GB OC GDDR5 PCI-E 3.0
OS: Windows 8.1 (already have it)

All this goes around 500€ (670$). So, as the title says, I'm asking the opinion of people with far more knowledge in this area than me. I can't spend more than this, so if you believe I should add another componente I'm not aware of, or change any of these, go ahead. All opinions are welcome! :)

Solution

I agree get the Asus M5A99x Pro if you plan on overclocking and upgrading to an 8350 later. M5A97a if youll stick with the 6300 and do minor overclocks

Thats truly not bad. You picked some good names. The PSU is untouchable, HDD is good, RAM is a good name, and the GPU is okay too. My one suggestion is save up until you can build it right. I guess you could call me an Intel fan boy as i recently converted from AMD. Huge difference. I love my Intel processor. So if i was you I would save up until i could get an i5- 4690k and a cheap z97 board. Itll be a couple hundred more but well worth it.

Thank you for your answer! And I won't call you an Intel fanboy, it's well known they have the best processors. But unfortunately I can't spend more than I already will if I buy this computer. I have read some stuff about the CPU, and it seems ok. I realize having an Intel CPU would be better, but I just can't afford it.
Anyways, and once again, thank you!

if you are going to get the FX 6300 put it on a 970 or 990fx motherboard, the 780 chipset is really old

hey guys im also building a gaming rig i dont know if this would run smoothly
on games like watchdogs or minecraft
here are the specs.....

AMD A8 6600k 3.90Ghz with turbo of 4.20Ghz

8Gb RAM

1TB of hardrive memory

msi radeon HD7770 1Gb video card

with Deepcooler VGA cooling fan 12mm blades and 4Heatpipes

case is Gigabyte GZ-X9

An apu (a10) is a weak processor with weak built in graphics. But you have an HD 7770 in the build making the apu a pointless waste And a shot in the foot too. Go with an fx 6300 (no built in graphics. All CPU power). The 7770 is to handle the graphics for you, no need for built in. Also I don't see a power supply in there. So some more research here In the forums and post a new thread and link us to it here
