Well, look at this: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/CnsjRB I put in the best amd 970 chipset mobo out there, and an r9 280 all for 591 bucks. I also put in a cm 212 evo in order to cool your cpu and get a good 4-4.4 ghz OC.

I would go with the r9 280 if you can make it under $600.
