I think the best way to ask this question is to explain the current setup.I have 3 1080p displays, one of which runs through a hardware splitter and clones the signal to a monitor in another area. I'm upgrading to 3 1440p displays and would like to continue to clone the signal from one monitor to another display which is still 1080p. Unfortunately just plugging the display in as a fourth display is not an option.
The question then, is there a piece of hardware that is capable of taking a 1440p signal via HDMI, Displayport, or DVI-D, and downscaling it to 1080p and then outputting it to HDMI without also creating titanically proportioned input lag, or am I going to be stuck needing to resolution swap every day?
