I'm building new computer with Asus motherboard. I saw that you needed a USB flash stick for set up but not sure what to do with it. I haven't quite finished and haven't turned it on yet. Will I need to be doing something at that point with the flash stick?

Well, after I assemble everything, then when I turn on, it will show the bios on my monitor i assume?
I have:
Intel Core i7-4790K Haswell Quad-Core 4.0GHz LGA 1150 Desktop Processor BX80646I74790K ;
ASUS Z97-DELUXE(NFC & WLC) LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard ; &
Samsung Electronics 840 EVO-Series 1TB 2.5-Inch SATA III

When I first turn it on for FIRST time, not sure what to expect. I will be installing windows 7 but its my understanding that first it will show the bios and I will need to do something with this flash stick? or is that for people who will be changing bios? I read you should not overclock from BIOS on this board but I will not be overclocking in any event. I think it was in one of the building new computer video that I saw this thing about the flash ...

It will turn on and say please insert disk or something like that. Restart the PC and press the del key or the key to get into your BIOS quickly. Before I say more, do you have an optical drive?

Okay. When you get into the BIOS after you reset your system for the first time, go into it and set it as first boot priority. When you do that insert your OS disc. After that, save and exit from the BIOS. Then it should load into the OS that you put it and will do the basic installation stuff. Just follow along and do whatever it says. Its not that hard.

And then later I go into BIOS and change it again to start from c drive ? Or will it know to change from DVD drive after windows installs?
(Its been 9 years since I built one)

Boot from your optical drive first. Set it to first boot priority. Then exit the BIOS ans it should start up the Windows Installation screen. From there on out, follow what it says.
