I already own R9 290s in crossfire and they're great but they're HOT! Specially in the summer. I just sold two of my GTX 780 TIs and I want to get EVGA GTX 6GB or SATRIX GTX 780 6GB. I noticed that 290/X scale better in crossfire then SLI. I'm not sure what to do..

- My last 5 GPUs have been EVGA besides these 290s. EVGA has always been loyal to me without any BS. But at the same time.. I do love ASUS. Any suggestions?

- Right now I'm running my Crossfire 290s @ 1440P if I was to get a 780 6GB I would soon buy a 4K monitor.

- Also, R9 290X Vapor-X looks good but I already own two 290s.

-Help me out here. I hear better things about EVGA 780 6GB but STRIX always looks so good.

-Thanks in advance!

Well if you can wait i would wait, if not i think its not worth upgrading to the 780 for just a couple of fps nor the 290X it would be just waste of money.

This will never happen, it'd make Titan Black GPUs redundant and kill their sales.

OP, why not stick with what you've got for now until more details are released about the next release of cards.

I'd avoid the ASUS Strix 780 as it's VRM temps go over 100C which is something I wouldn't be comfortable with.

With regard to EVGA, grab a 780 with a reference cooler and you're golden. You can even go for a SuperClocked version which will come factory overclocked.

EDIT: Having just checked their website it appears EVGA don't do the 6GB 780 variant with a reference cooler, only the ACX. I personally think the ACX coolers are crap but I'd still recommend it over the ASUS card.

How... 780 ti's are for gamers, titans are for professionals...

That's completely irrelevant. Nvidia advertise the Titan Black as a gaming card and I'm willing to bet that 90% of Titan/Titan Black sales are gamers, specifically those who want the speed of a 780 Ti, but with double the VRAM.

So like I said, they aren't going to release something that damages sales of one of their flagship cards...

yes I do apologise, the EVGA website do lie about products they will never sell, they do that all the time :)

Oh guru 3D says it's happening but they're all wrong, it's all lies obviously, all lies

If you bothered to read your own article you'd realise it's about the release of the 780, NOT the Ti. It also says according to an "EVGA Rep" who is never named and could be ANYONE that the 780 Ti 6GB's are scheduled for release in May/June of this year. So where are they smartarse!?

Other link :) If you read carefully, it actually says 780 Ti :) Are you getting angry? I feel like you're getting angry, oh, read the guru3d link too, cause you know, titan backs are gamers only :') But guru3D lie too, you own nvidia and stuff so you'll know more than us :)

Why not water-cool your 290s, you already had better performance with the 780tis. Some recent reviewes show that 780ti sli is still the fastest 2x gpu @4k (OC models of course).

We all wish 780ti had 6gb but nvidia is too close to 880 launch which will cost consumers less and yield a higher profit margin for nvidia.

I ignored that link because it's even older. Only eight months... And it states once the Titan stock empties. The article doesn't even take into account the Titan Black. Give it up.

I'm not getting angry, just fed up of you giving people bad advice without having anything to back up your claims.

They're sources, are they not evidence? What do you want? :')

Yeah, like sources that said the 780 Ti Lightning would be released soon. Then MSI announced that they wouldn't be released to the general public.
