I'm planning on getting a second monitor semi can game in one and use skype , Google chrome etc on the other, I'm worried about two things. 1 does my GPU even support dual monitors and 2 how many frames will I lose on my games. My card is the nvidia geforce gtx 650 ti by zotac

Solution
Easily. I have the same card. It will support 2 DVI monitors, or you can get a adapter which will run from dvi to 2x vga (+ 1 dvi). Or you can run one DVI and one HDMI monitor.
Lost frames will vary depending on the games and what you're running on the other monitor. If you run a movie + a game it will affect FPS if not also the heat. My card runs about 5-10C hotter with 2 monitors. Some games will disable the other screens, and have minimal FPS loss. On the other hand some games like Supreme Commander can use multiple monitors and actually runs faster because it doesn't have to dynamic scale the map quite as often (game has a lot of "zooming").
Yes you can do it, yes it's worth it, and no it won't affect your in-game FPS too much...

Yes you can run them. Assuming your monitors are DVI (because most are or at least have the option) and most monitors have the choice between DVI and VGA you could. Gaming monitor on DVI and Skype monitor on VGA. In case you don't know what those are I'll attach a pic.

Now as of fps yes you will lose some. I cant imagine much if its just chrome. If your'e skyping then that's a different story. Skype will make you lose around 10-20 would be my estimate if you run more "indie" games.
