Hello I just bought a Samsung EVO 840 250GB SSD and pluged it into my PC on start it doesnt recognize it "hard disk drives" computer section of my control panel but the samsung CD inside recognizes it and will let me clone onto it (not sure if this is a problem, just thought I need to put files onto it for it to recognize) anyways I have 183GB on my HDD atm but have no way to choose which file I want to put onto my SSD, I just want my OS and my games on it, I have a 500GB HDD that I could use as a back up but Im not sure what to delete off my SSD once I cloned all 183 GB onto it.

Help is very appreciated! starting to get bummed out :|

A fresh clean install is the recommended installation method. Cloning applications work reasonably well but sometimes glitches develop. This forum has had more than its fair share of questions about cloning problems. You'll have to do a secure erase before doing a clean install.

With a 256 GB ssd, users typically install the operating system, software applications, utilities, and some games. If you have a lot of games you can install your most favorite games on the ssd and the rest on a hard disk drive. Swapping games between the ssd and the hard disk drive is easy.
