also what about copy and past files programs games etc any data lost??

No, copying has no effect on the quality of the videos. It just copies the data exactly like the source.
The same with any other file type.

The quality would be reduced only if you re-encoded to another format, or to the same format with a different data rate.
Copying and pasting has absolutely no negative effect on the data.
