I have an old PC that I'm trying to upgrade for gaming and I wanted to know what I should upgrade. I'm planning on playing games like Call of Duty, Battlefield, and GTA 5. I know I'm gonna need a graphics card, more RAM, and maybe a new processor but I'd like some suggestions as to which ones to buy (hopefully on the cheaper side but I'd rather pay more than have laggy game-play)

I looked at the System screen in Control Panel for the specs but let me know if you need more info on the PC.

Processor: Intel Core2 CPU 6400 @ 2.13GHz
RAM: 1 GB
64-bit

What case do you have? You also have to check that your motherboard is compatible with more ram and that it can support a gpu. I don't what your budget is so I can't give you any recommendations as of now. Your cpu might also bottleneck your gpu. I also need to know how many watts your power supply is.

If your case and/or motherboard cannot support a graphics card, you're best off just buying a new computer, maybe reusing the hard drive and optical drive.

This isn't nearly enough information to give you a proper, complete answer.

64-bit what? Windows 7? Windows Vista? Windows 8?
What motherboard are you using? (Important)
Do you have a GPU right now, and if you do, what is it?
What Power Supply Unit are you using? (Important)
(Not that important, but useful non-the-less) What case are you using?

If this computer was a 'pre-built', can you supply a link or name of the product?

From the information you gave, I would guess this is an older PC. Whats the maximum budget your willing to pay? This may require upgrading more than just the RAM, CPU, and GPU.

The safe thing would be to get a 750ti, 4GB ram and a new PSU if your current one can't handle a 750ti. What is your budget?

Remember you can get a new i3 tower with windows 8.1 for $250 now so don't invest too much into your older system. I would probably just do the RAM and 750ti.

Not sure what case I have. Where can I find that out?
It's a 64-bit Windows 7
I don't have a GPU
Power supply max is 400W
I found "Intel Desktop Board D946GZIS" on the motherboard I think its the model?

It was pre-built but I don't see the model number on the computer. It just says "ENPOWER" on the front.

Is there a way to post a picture so you guys can see the case?

My budget is $600

You're better off building your own computer. The current one you have is not worth the hassle to upgrade.

Yeah you're better off building a whole new computer. That case has no airflow and can't put any fans on it unless your want to modify it.

Okay. I'll probably just pass it on to my little sister then and get a new one.
Thanks for the help everyone!
