I have a few documents that were written in M/S WORKS (with Windows XP) and would like to transfer them to a Windows 7 computer. I tried several methods, including an on-line converter but none worked.

Would I be able to transfer them by using the F5U279 converter?

Thanks for any help.

You can transfer them manually with a pen drive - - you don't software or a Belkin transfer cable to do that -- but that doesn't mean you'll be able to open them if there's no suitable application on your Windows 7 computer.

If they were created in Works 6.0 or 7.0 (WPS files) you should be able to open them in Microsoft Word or by using the free "Word Viewer" from Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=4

Note: Word & Word Viewer cannot open Works database or spreadsheet files, only word processor files (WPS files).
