Hello! I currently have a ASUS NVIDIA GTX 770 and it's really good for most games however I feel that for some games more performance would make it much more stable, I've overclocked and removed the TDP limit but overclocking still isn't a big increase, should I upgrade to a GTX 780 or get another 770 and SLI it?

Solution
Better is to upgrade gpu. SLI supports many games but not all and also it creates problem of stuttering. Even there is space issue for it. If there is space in casing then there will be heat problem. U need better cooling system for SLI and better and reliable PSU with high amperes. Drivers also have many bugs for SLI.

I know what you mean about not having quite good enough performance on games with the 770. I have one too and on a lot of demanding games like Crysis 3 I'm so close to a consistent 60 fps, on ultra at 1080p but it dips under the 60 mark and hovers around the 60 but not all was staying at 60 fps. I have a 144 Hz monitor and if I can play my games at 60 fps then it's usually lot more fun than being stuck around 45. If you've got a case with good airflow, unless you liquid cool, then I'd say just buy another 770. I'm planning on buying another 770 myself and putting it in SLI with my other card. Don't worry about all the people who talk about driver problems with SLI, it's not as common as problem as they'd like to make you think.

As Mathew-san is saying, its right that you should buy another one if u have good airflow etc. etc.. Drivers problems came but it was with older gpu's but new one has very little because Nvidia has done so much work on SLI, still some problems exist but not so much. SLI is better than AMD-Crossfire. And like Calvin3200 said there is little micro-stuttering in 2-cards taht human cannot see. On 3-cards u have more than little but it can be seen in some portions of game but on 3+ cards microstuttering can be easily seen.

Also, I forgot to mention that if you're looking at the 770 4GB version compared to the 780 3GB then that'd give you another reason to go with the 770 in SLI (+ 1GB of VRAM, might come in handy). However, if you plan on running two 770 2GB in SLI then I wouldn't advise doing that because the lack of VRAM will hurt the overall performance of your two cards so having two cards would become irrelevant.
