Should i wait for gtx 870/880?

Option 1. Buy the 780 right now and be happy.
Option 2. Buy the 870/880 when those arrive.
What is your opinion?

You can wait but is it worth the wait ? I don't think so but if you're already not going to buy it now then wait for the new 8** series however if you need to play urgently the new series won't be much more powerful . The GTX 670 and 680 are still very strong cards.

They will be more expensive than current GTX 780 prices because I've heard that the maxwell architecture is better for digital currency mining and all us gamers know that means inflated prices till all the miners have their pricy cards. plus they are more efficient making them a better choice for a miner too. my guess is the prices will be way higher. another option is to wait for the 880 cards to come out and buy a 780 on sale or get a gtx 880 if the prices really are the same.(but I really doubt they will be)
