Hey there, My 4 year old desktop computer is having issues. When I turn the power on it gives me 1 long beep, then 2 short beeps. I looked up the beep code and it seems to be a video card error (correct me if I'm wrong). I tried pulling the video card out, but it is still giving me the same beeps. I do not know where to go from here. Any assistance? Thanks

1 short: System boots successfully
2 short: CMOS setting error
1 long, 1 short: Memory or motherboard error
1 long, 2 short: Monitor or graphics card error
1 long, 3 short: Keyboard error
1 long, 9 short: BIOS ROM error
Continuous long beeps: Graphics card not inserted properly
Continuous short beeps: Power error

so u have tried removing the gpu and stil getting those beeps so i will say that the mobo has something to do clear the BIOS by removing the battery and if u have the warranty left for the board send to to warranty.....

Ya tried taking the battery out. No luck. I brought it in to a pro today. Probably the mother board.

So i took it into a computer tech -- He told me its probably the motherboard... So i bought a brand new mother board for the computer (the exact same model). And I'm still getting the same beep code! Arg! Could it be the processor?
