Saphirre HD 7870 freezes my pc and makes loud buzzing sound!!

I have purchased an hd 7870 graphics card because i needed an upgrade and it fit my budget and has amazing performance for the money. I installed drivers started playing mafia 2 and everything went well.
The game performed excellent until my whole pc froze and started making a buzzing sound. I literally had to unplug my pc for the noise to stop. I have tried the latest amd beta drivers but still nothing i l have played with the settings for at least an hour and it is extremely frustrating . According to google many people have this problem and i still haven't found a real solution.

Where was the buzz coming from?

The noise clearly came from the gpu..
specs:
i3 4150
fsp 550 watt
mobo h81m d2v
4 gb ram

If it came from the GPU , that is not normal you need to RMA it or return it for a new one.

I wouldn't want my computer buzzing like that , get a different make and model.

I've never had a card buzz.

You need to find the Source so that no other damage occurs to your system.

There is no source except my headphones i have checked again a few minutes ago

Are you sure there is no solution?
This is my second saphirre card that did not work..
I had an r9 270 short my entire pc last time but that was a defective card..

Well.. i guess i will have to try returning it and switch cards. I don't know what card i will get. i kind of lost all hope with saphirre cards tbh

I have updated the sound drivers. I will now test the pc with heaven benchmark and see if how long it will stay on for..
