Faster NAS access with a network reconfiguration?

I'm trying to figure out if I can easily increase access speed to my NAS from my PC.

In one room, I've got a my cable modem connected to my Linksys E4200 (dual-band N) router. Also connected to the router (wired) is a Synology 212+ NAS (3TB, mirrored) and my wife's iMac. My desktop PC is in an adjacent room (other side of the wall) and connects with the router using the mPCIe combo card on my ASUS Maximus V Formula MOBO.

The problem is that my access to the NAS from my PC is relatively slow. While I get full download speed from my cable provider, I only typically get about 5-10 MB/sec through the wireless connection to the NAS, which is not practical for backing up several gigs of media at a time. I'm the primary user of the NAS, but I'd still like it available to the iMac for shared storage (and perhaps to the Internet eventually), though access speed from the Mac is not as important.

What I'm wondering is how I can increase the access speed to the NAS from the PC? One possibility I was kicking around was to upgrade to an 802.11AC router (plus a wireless AC adapter for the PC) and plug the NAS into its USB 3.0 port, but it doesn't look like I'm anywhere close to even the speeds I should be getting with my current router. Would I be better off relocating the NAS to wire it into the PC, and put the NAS on its own wireless router (or bridge or switch) so the Mac can access it when the PC's off? Is there a setting on the NAS or router I'm not aware of that could unlock more speed? Suggestions?

You might consider this wireless bridge with 4 gigabit ports.
http://www.amazon.com/TRENDnet-Wireless-Media-Bridge-TE...

Place it in the room with your PC and connect both the PC and NAS to it. Your PC will have a gigabit connection to the NAS, and everyone else will still have NAS access over wireless.

I use an earlier version of this Trendnet and it's always provided a solid connection.
