My laptop was left on overnight. I turned it on yesterday. It is trying to load over 35,000 files. I have shut it down, rebooted with F8, attempted to start in safe mode and normal mode. It does the same thing trying to load 35,000 files. I am doing a hard shut down to stop them from loading.

The " loading 35,000" files" is kind of vague. What files? What kind of message box is displaying this information? Is there a application of some sort loading these files?
It kind of sounds like a fake anti-virus but without more info it is impossible to say.
