So This is the dispute between AMD and Intel!

AMD: FX 6300
Intel: Core i5 4690

What i am looking for?:
-the best for gaming (medium games)
-fastest
-Longest Life

Now I know a bit about computers and to me they both seem pretty decent but intel always seems to one up! also is more expensive. sso looking for a couple of opinions!

The intel takes the performance hands down.
Intel has higher single threaded performance compared to AMD, but AMD packs more cheaper cores into their CPUs, reducing costs.
Intel has more raw performance but at a premium.

Intel also, depending what board you get, has a much better upgrade path. AM3+ is a dead socket at this point, where the Z97 boards with the 1150 socket has a much larger upgrade path.
