Ok so before i start, i am in no way, shape or form an expert in this matter. Please go easy on me.

While playing games like League of legends on my main screen, i like to watch streams or youtube videos on my other screen. And that for some reason is making my ping go crazy high for the connection that i have.

Same thing happens when people on my Network use fairly high bandwidth demanding websites like youtube for example even though my internet connection should be enough to handle all of those together at once.

-------------------

Im running on a 15 down, 5 up connection using a Huawei e5172s-927 router (im on a wired connection).

My question is, What am i supposed to do to prioritize my PC or the game that i am playing over everything else? Is there a setting that i can configure to fix my problem? Do i have to buy a new router that has the required settings/specs for gaming that can fix my case?

Please, go easy on me. send help.

You are going to have to run some more tests to see what rates you can really get. Even though you are on a "wired" connection you are using a wireless broadband services to get your internet. At least that is my guess since that is a very expensive LTE router.

The problem with wireless broadband just like wireless in your house is it is a shared resource. They may say you get 15 down 5 up but if they have too many people on a particular tower or they have too many towers using a common backhaul circuit you can get capacity issues.

Normally LTE connections are too costly to use to play games or stream video on a regular basis so you do not see a lot of complaints from people.

You will need to see how much data you can really...

You will need to see how much data you can really download and then maybe you could put another router in front to limit traffic. The mobile broadband routers are so different than most consumer routers that it is hard to say what feature they do and do not have and even the manuals do not help unless you know the ISP since there are differences.
