im getting ddosd

Im really really sorry if this is the wrong place, i truely am.

Basically somebody is ddosing me in order to get virtual items from me. Its currently stopped, i dont know if i did something to stop it.

If somebody could help me out or provide me with some support it would mean the world to me :/

I will provide any other information needed, im at a total loss here, ive no idea what to do

*edit* It occurs to me that some of you reading this will think, theres already info for this on here, i dont know what im doing at all i need some crazy help

If you play games that use private servers you will expose your address. This is also true if you use private version of voice conference servers. Generally game company servers and things like teamspeak that are run from hosting centers are fairly safe. Never use skype or give anyone your skype userid that you do not trust there is a massive security issue related to ip exposure that microsoft refuses to fix.

In most cases people can not DoS you from their own connection they run out of upload bandwidth well before you run out of download bandwidth, they will have to use services they pay for to actually attack you. Someone would have to be very mad at you to pay money for a extended period of time to attack you.

Can you reccomend a vpn service please, price isnt really an issue.

Thank you very much for this information i had no idea about Skype, i play online games a lot and many random people have my skype id. Teamspeak is safe to use however?

Doesnt look like theyre gonna pay to attack me, the items arent really worth that much.

I would hope not but I got my skype id way before microsoft was involved. The problem is the string of letters that make up your skype id are associated with you IP address as so as you log into the skype network. This is the only data that is able to be acquired there is no microsoft email addresses that I know of.

If you were to create a new skype id and tie it to you old microsoft accounts there should be no way to get the skype id just because you know the email account.

What is happening is skype because of how it works is constantly sending huge lists of id/ip address out. This is how it allows direct calls to be made but the idiot boys have decided to abuse this information.
