2048 x 1152 is all I can have for this combination...
- Yes, I've installed the latest driver for the card from Nvidia
- Yes, the OS (Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit) is upgraded to SP1
What else I may be missing?
Thanks!

the gpu max with one monitor is 2048x1536 and the monitor could have 2560 x 1440 your gpu could give a aspect ratio of 4:3 and the monitor use a 16:9 ratio so you have to set them to use the same ratio so you may have to lower screen resolution see in the monitor user manual if there is something on how to set it at a 4:3 ratio so you could usemax esolution gpu could give see this http://lcdtech.info/en/data/pixel.size.htm

Thanks! Both 2048x1152 and 2560x1440 are 16x9. In the GPU specs, they have 2048x1536 as max VGA (irrelevant to my DVI-D connection?) resolution. As to digital resolution capability, they say: "3840x2160 at 30Hz or 4096x2160 at 24Hz supported over HDMI. 4096x2160 (including 3840x2160) at 60Hz supported over Displayport. Support for 4k tiled MST displays requires 326.19 driver or later". So, I am still puzzled...
