have just finished building a gaming rig but unfortunately when firing it up, it does not go to POST, all the fans run CPU included, led lighting runs, but no beeps or post.
I have tried with/without ram, have removed GPU, unplugged all sata leads, tried on VGA and hdmi, and still nothing.
have done 'breadboarding' with only cpu & hsf installed, (and MB speaker) but still no 'beeps'.
the bios LED on the MB swaps from main bios to back up bios all the time.
I even remove the CPU and reinstalled.
I read 'checklist/trouble shooting and went through each step from start to finish.
I swapped out the ram into my old pc and that fires up ok.
any/all suggestions will be most welcomed.
my system is:
Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming MB
Intel quad core E3-1271 LGA 1150 CPU
G.Skill Rip jaws-x 16gb ram
gigabyte GTX770 PCI-E video card
tough power 750W 80+ Gold PSU
Seagate 3.5" SSHD 2TB hd
WD 3.5" green 4TB hd
all in a Coolermaster Haf-X 942 case

sounds like a bad board mate, sorry! but just in case, you did check that everything is plugged in and secure right!? if not double check, and plug it into the monitor and see if anything at all comes up, also double check if you have a dual motherboard bios and switch to the other bios if you can.
