So I'm attempting to build a gaming/designer pc. This is my first build so I'm a bit nervous and I'm not really sure what the best bang for my buck is. This computer has to handle higher poly game renders as well as various video editing and effects. Plus I'd like it to play high quality games.

Currently my idea is: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/Bc7ZXL

I live in Canada and currently already have HDDs (minus the SSD) and a case (Centurion). My budget is around $1200 but I'd go up to 1500 if It would cause a substantial difference.

Thanks in advance for any replies :)

I didn't feel that it was justified going with older gen CPU and motherboard , I know that I exceeded your budget but I added some quality parts that can withstand the test of time hopefully .

Thanks for the reply, I have a question though. I'm prob gonna be going off of wireless so wouldn't I need a wireless network adaptor rather then the wired one?

Also I'm still thinking about windows 7 or 8.1, I mean I know 7 supports everything I use but 8.1 is tech the "upgrade" what do you think?

The wired network adapter was wrong on my side , you need a wireless one as any one will do fine in the range of 20-40 bucks . I prefer windows 7 for the layout but both will act similarly in games.

You purchase the items then print rebate forms , you get them from the website where you purchased the items . Its quite lengthy.
