I've tried to reset my PC recently (Windows 8; HP Envy).

It loads the reset SUPER slow (7% in 3 hours) and shuts down at that point. When I turn it back on it endlessly loops the diagnostic and auto repair screens, forcing me to force shut down, and go through the ESC menus to get back to the screens for system reset. What do I do to fix this? Do I need an install disc?

Hi,

Have you tried Auto repair? If that doesn't work you will need to reinstall. You will likely need an install disk, better yet you will need a windows 8 key.
The key might be printed on a sticker on your case or included with a disk that came with your PC, it newer computers the key is sometimes stored in the BIOS and can be difficult to activate.

Was your PC working before? Did it just start this out of the blue? Perhaps your HardDrive is starting to fail.
