Hello, my old SSD has been having issues booting so I connected my wife's WDC WD3200BEVT-22ZCT0 from her fried laptop to my desktop so we can use it while I fix the SSD, the problem is the only thing the WDC recognizes is the CPU and RaM, I really need it to recognize my GPU (Sapphire 7870) so I can game and just do anything other than browse forums and watch youtube. So any tips?

Also I have tried manually installing the drivers but it didn't seem to work. even after restart.

So I have been told to do a clean install of Win7 but I haven't had to do that before and also I have no DvD/Blu-ray Drive.

When you hooked up your wife's HDD, did you do a clean Windows install or did it just boot to Windows when you powered up? If it booted to Windows without an install, I'm surprised. It will also be missing drivers for your desktop components. Try installing your GPU driver.

No I didn't, it just booted and like I stated I tried to install the GPU driver manually and it's downloaded but doesn't run.

How would I go about doing a clean install? (First time I would have to do so.)

You really need to do a clean Windows install - all the drivers on the HDD are for the laptop components. If a driver is generic enough, it can still work, which is why you can still access internet and watch videos, but beyond that you'll need specific, appropriate drivers. Like for your GPU.
